Default M-10 MG Mount

The M-10 GMC had a .50 mounted in the rear of its open turret. I think I remember reading somewhere that field ordnance units sometimes repositioned the MG so that it could have a forward field of fire. Can anyone verify this or tell me where it was positioned? Bonus points if you can link to a photo...

Its far more common to find field modifications that added additional .50 or .30 machineguns on these vehicles rather than moving the existing gun to a new mounting. The top picture is a fairly common mod adding a machinegun in that approximate position for either the commander or loader's use.

I've often wondered why people don't just go on Google first before asking for a picture here.
Good information is better found here though.
