Not really a discussion of weapons rather then an information request isn't it?

I would consider it a brainstorm about weapons.

We could always go off on the tangent of what foreign weapons did the Germans use too seeing as they used many others in addition to thier own LOL.

Hehe, how long have you got?
That's quite a task you're taking on there Chrish, considering that Gander's mostly complete 'Encyclopedia of German small Arms, artillery & special weapons' runs to 370 pretty densely packed pages (46 pistols alone, automatic, revolver, and flare)... Foreign/captured weapons also pretty fully described.

David Boyd's excellent and ever-increasing web based survey of British equipment is a very good starting place:
British Equipment of the Second World War

Good luck,
Adam.

Default Re: List of German and British Weapons

Why is the Luger and the Walther Pistols in with the British small arms?

And joe, if you want ot be technical and accurate, the Mp38, 40 and 41 you have in the MG list are Sub Machine guns not Machine guns. Even the STG 44 is an Assualt rifle.

Do the other Axis country weapons count?

I do know the difference, but I was sticking to Chrish's guidlines.
