Default A chance to shoot an M1 carbine and Garand

My step grandfather,(Step-Step if you wish) owns 2 M1 carbines, one replica and one genuine. Now, he LOVES to have newbie shooters like me, and I've been shooting an 03-A3 recently. Now, it took me a while, but I worked uo the courage to ask to shoot both the Garand and the Carbine. He laughed, noticing my nervous looks, and said of course. I wanted to jump up and down, hence these are the two weapons I have all ways dreamed of firing(Lets not forget mp5, kar98k, .50 cal MG, M4, M16, cough..). I'm not forsure when I will be going out. But it will be soon.

I will try and hope to get pictures for this one.

P.S When I've been shooting the 03-A3, I shot horrible, in the 70s and 80s out of 100 and a +12 spread. So who knows how I'll shoot.

P.S.S(sorry) I have a slight problem with a microphone of mine. The wire to the speaker part came loose, so I can talk and they can hear me, but when they talk I cant hear them back unless I touch the wire to the soldering spot. Now, is there any way to attach that wire back without a soldering iron? Some kind of glue or tape? Any help on this matter will help me much much much!

Thanks for your time!

Grant

P.S.S.S () I see lots of people are still around since I've been gone

Lucky you. I'd love to shoot with a M1 , my dad had one of these. I'm considering buying one, but it would have to be neutralized due to legal restrictions in Europe.

Very tempting. A bit far though. I could use blanks here, not the real thing, but quite realistic.

I suppose. I'm not too much of a weapon guy anyway, it's just the sentimental thing about the U.S. M1

When I was visiting my brother, who lives in the States, a few months ago we had a morning at his shooting club. He had recently purchased a Garand and we were going to try it out. Unfortunately, he couldn't get it to load properly so erred on the sensible side of caution and left it until he could talk to one of the senior members. I haven't asked him, yet, if he managed to get it sorted.
