Sure, the Guards Mortars were a standard fixture by then at Corps level.

Surley!! It's an IB Diploma Extended essay so it won't be in the A,B,C Etc. form, so i'm not sure what type of grade it will be or what form but whatever it is i will definitely let you guys know.

No. Much that it pains me, honours were equal.

Hint - google up for Operation Uranus and see the orders of battle. If ranges were somewhat similar, the Soviets had lots more arty, and they had been stockpiling ammunition for months for the occasion.
