I was trying to find information about mines and booby traps in the greek civil war using the google. But i didnt find anything. Anyone knows about ?

I know that the Greek civil war was after the end of the Second world war, but there was almost the same weapons, as the members of the resistance fought against the enforcement of the king.

Speculation. The Germans pulled out of Greece in a hurry and probably left ordnance behind. The British occupied Greece after the Germans left and no doubt provided ordnance to Greek factions opposing the Communists. The Communists may have obtained German, Italian, and / or Russian ordnance from Tito. I also believe American advisors were present during the civil war and there may have also been U.S. ordnance available as well.

In the Greek Civil War was the Δ.Σ.Ε (Greek Army for the Democracy), against the Ε.Σ (Greek Army). The Greek Army for the Democracy consisted not only by communists, but almost all of the resistance members.
Could you give me any information or websites about the U.S. ordnance, the German ordnance, the Italian ordnance, or Russian ordnance;

If Tito's Communists in Yugoslavia helped to outfit the Greeks, they' also have American and British weapons as both countries outfitted Tito's partisans during World War II. What are the exact years of the Greek Civil War? I'd also imagine there would be a lot of Soviet weapons used too.

In regards to the mines, I think they'd be a random assortment from all those countries.

The weapons which used in the Greek Civil War. I know that is a bit irrelevant, but i think that it can give you an idea about the variety of ordnance which used. Probably there was a usage of italian mines. Mussolini, have you any information about italian mines??Or a website?

How about german booby traps?

I don't see much about this on the internet. From what I recall, most of them were grenades or artillery shells that were detonated by weight or by having a trip wire pulled.

Last year i found with my unit a very strange booby trap. It consisted by a 75mm artillery shell hidden in a tree with three trip wires and three grenades hidden near to the shell. The lieutenant ordered me to blow up the trap. But i am still wondering about that trap. German or English design??Or a design of a genius guerilla?

The trap which i found was a very clever design. I, 60 years after that and second lieutenant of the Greek Army, i could'nt ever think to use a combination of grenade and artillery shells. Probably i would use some M18's. The fantasy and the improvisation were replaced by the technology.
But the most interesting thing is that the one grenade was not hidden well and the whole trap was covering a path entrance, about 10 meters long.
