Default 12th Hospital Train

Does anyone have any information on the 12th Hospital Train (US Army)?

I know they were based in the UK but I think that members of this unit were also used onboard ships transporting troops back from Normandy.

Can anyone help with more details?

Default Re: 12th Hospital Train

During D-Day, nurses from the 12th Hospital Train left Bristol and were serving aboard the Naushon off Omaha Beach.

Found in the book "A History of the US Army Nurse Corps" by Mary T. Sarnecky.
