What if the Japanese invaded Hawaii /Pearl harbour

I was wondering what if the IJN decided to invade Hawaii in 1941 would it put back the American effort in the Pacific back a step or completely change the dynamics of the war
could the Americans operate of East coast and still have won?. If i was Yammamoto i would have advocated a invasion force with the carrier group a bold gamble but one worth the prize of strategic thinking
If Hawaii was taken would Rooservelt have made the Pacific campaign a urgent high priority? if they held Hawaii all sorts of scenarios would be interesting to look at just as well they weren't that game enough to try
