There's been some discussion recently about German paratroop forces.

A very interesting little book on this subject is 'Heaven and Hell' by Martin Poppel ( Spellmount/Hippocrene, 1988 ).

It's well-illustrated with many of Poppel's private photos, and interesting because he volunteered for Fallschirmjager in '38, so describes his activities in Poland, Narvik, Holland, Crete, Italy, Russia and Normandy.
Worth buying if you see a secondhand copy. Anyone else read it ?

No, I have not read it... yet. But I hope I could do it. You see, I read conventional Literature mostly... I am not as lucky as you to have so many war books...
