I've just got 'trail of the tigers' by Ron Klages. I must say that this is great. It's an attempt to trace the fate of every tiger tank during the war. The work also contains some information about the units and aces. I strongly recommend this for everyone that is interested in the tiger tanks.

Perhaps there's someone else here who have the work?

regards

There's definetely someone else here who WILL GET the work!

That sounds really good, charlie. Thanks for the post...

I wonder what number Klages came up with for total Tiger tank production?

Hey charlie... could you post some more info on this title?
ISBN, publisher, etc. Couldn't find this one on Amazon- and I REALLY would like a copy!

Thanx for the tip, Charlie!

Sounds like a very challenging task, actually...

Unfortunately did not find the book in the net but he seems to know his stuff...

----------

"Since the batallion had 45 Tigers and it took 5 men to man a Tiger then out of 897 men 225 men were in the tanks and 672 were commanding, servicing and supplying the tanks. Or for every Tiger there was 15 men to support it and 5 men to operate it. "

(Sorry, gents... I know this is an old one...)

Finally got myself a copy of this one. Like Charlie says- GREAT work for anyone interested in Tiger tanks. Massive amounts of statistical evidence and information. One thing to note- Klages' work focuses almost entirely on the tanks themselves. He is essentially "assembling" information from a variety of sources concerning the Tigers. So... there is little or no action reports, combat accounts, or material like that.
But for the statistical analysis- GET IT. Oh yeah... and I saw someone in another thread mention something about a second mortgage to afford books- not the case here! Since he slef-publishes, I don't want to quote a price thay may change, but- all said and done, shipping included, "Trail of the Tigers" cost me less than $20!!!

Like I said... GET IT!!!

How to get it? I asked, and it's fine if interested parties email Ron Klages at... res0ouzb@verizon.net Maybe put "Trail of the Tigers" as the subject line, so he knows what you are emailing about.
