A REAL GOOD WAR, a novel based on my flying 35 missions on a B-17 from 9Sept44 (Ludwigshafen) to 3Feb45 (Berlin) has been published in Japan. Fortunately for those not fluent in Japanese, an English version is available at bookshops and Amazon. Reviews and a sample full chapter can be seen at www.b17sam.com/samplepage.html
San Antonio Express-News Inevitably, this spellbinding novel of men in aerial combat,
A REAL GOOD WAR, will be compared to "Twelve O'Clock High". "The War Lover" and "Memphis Belle." It will not suffer from the comparison.

Welcome to the forums Sir, and looking forward to getting your book after I relocate.

Strangely though--just lastnight I was at Barnes and Nobles thinking about buying the Schiffer title on The Memphis Belle.

Looking very forward to buying your book. There are others here who will be most interested in it as well--ill spread the word.

After looking for some time, picked up a new copy of this book in Banbury this afternoon.

It looks like a very good read ; I've added it to my 'to read' pile....
