I know this isn't a WW2 related book-but I thought it worth a mention here. It is a good book, as Hal Moore is very passionate about recounting his trooper's efforts in Ia Drang in November 1965.
However, it reads more like an AAR, and you really have to understand military jargon to appreciate it wholly.
Nevertheless, it is a good book, and a good study into the testing battle of the Vietnam War, that proved the worth of both the US Army and the PAVN.

Hey Panzer,

I read the book twice. I agree it is a great book. Also the individual on the cover of the book is Rick Rescola. He died on 9/11 in the World Trade Center after he saved about 1,000 lives from his employer. When last seen he was still searching floors trying to get people out and wouldn't come out until they had all made it to safety. Just an interesting tidbit.

Yeah, Iv'e read into Rick Rescorlas exploits on 9/11, and it says that he was trying to calm everyone down whilst he was helping them to escape-by saying something to them along the lines of:-
"OK, now unless you want to see me naked, I suggest you all start moving in an orderly fashion, or else I'm gunna start singing as well"

My cover doesn't have Rescorla on it-it is the new revised edition with movie shots, so Mel Gibson is the prominent feature on the cover.
