Old book from 1948 translated in Finnish.

Interesting data on Himmler by his personal , well not doctor really, but man who treated Himmler´s stomach nerves through massage.Calling the man even his " Mighty Buddha".

Kersten might give himself more credit than is due but he definitely used his power (?) over Himmler to free people from the camps.

If you find this probably somewhere in second hand book shops,I do recommend it for those interested in nazi lifestyle. It is interesting reading if you wish to know of some of the weaknesses of Himmler but the book never goes too deep on the matter though.

Another Himmler´s favourite seems to have been the Luftwaffe "experiment doctor" Sigmund Rascher.

I have the Dutch translation. For some reason the book was translated into Dutch in 1948 already. Have only read bits and pieces, so I can't give a real opinion but it sounded a bit apologetic, both for having been in that position and also for not having been able to help more people although he maintains that he really couldn't have without probably been sent to a camp himself....

Isn't that picture one of Rascher's hypothermia experiments, where he stuck naked POWs etc for hours(!)in ice cold water (these appear to be ice blocks floating!) to study the effects of cold in the human body?
