I have a copy of A Sapper At Arnhem with slight damage to the cover which I would be happy to sell for £6 plus postage. Normal price £12, please contact me if interested.

Do it, Stevin ! You will not be disappointed. I'm reading my copy right now - it's far better than the average memoir, is beautifully-produced and has some rare photos as well.

Thanks for that, Martin! I am very interested and looking forward to it already. I love these memoires. I am pretty much into Arnhem right now. I recently bought and read Die Dag in September by Hendrika van der Vlist about Hotel Schoonoord becoming and Field Hospital were she was a nurse. Her parents owned the hotel. Of course it was completely destroyed. Very interesting to read about the relations between the Brits and Germans who were in Schoonoord.

I thought it was a great book which showed a light on a small aspect of that battle; that what happened between the walls of Schoonoord and after the battle, what happened to some of the wounded... Very good read.
