I have a copy of Ruckmarsch then and now , superb one of the finest photo ATB's i've seen although i must also recommend Heimdals Le Couloir de la Mort by Georges Bernage which i picked up in Normandy this year , it's all in French but the photo captions are understandable even with my poor french , great maps and photos of St Lambert sur Dives, Moissy , Chambois and Montormel and of course the Vimoutiers Tiger,

Paul

Thumbs up Re: New ATB 'Falaise' book

Bernage's book ( co-written with Ronald McNair ) is really very good : the selection of photos makes it well worth getting even if, like me, your French is schoolboy-level.....

Hmmm, and rather cheap on UK Amazon...
Just 14p into free postage territory... perfect.
Amazon.co.uk: Le Couloir de la Mort: Falaise - Argentan 1944: Books: George Bernage,Frederic Leterreux,Philippe Wirton

Cheers chaps.

I just started into this book. The pictures of a column that was strafed and bombed are fantastic.

Hi Erich

..I really didn't think to ask that question ..but I guess it enables J-P to produce what is essentially the same work(s) for both Heimdal and ATB at the same time...just a theory
