Question Bismarck and new info?

Hunting the Bismarck
by Miroslaw Zbigniew Skwiot (Author), Elzbieta Teresa Prusinowska

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hunting-Bism.../dp/186126819X

The book cover says that new facts are available after recently declassified documents. Anyway, anyone read the book to tell whether the book is worth purchasing ?

Default Re: Bismarck and new info?

I really wonder what new information could come to light that would make any kind of substancial revelation that is not already known. The technical aspects of the ships are well known. The major engagements involved here as well as most, if not all, of the survellance and other intermediate operations is also already in the public domain (eg., ship's logs etc.). So I really wonder if a new book on the subject is really necessary or going to produce any really useful new information.

Im in no position to pass judgements, but I would take a guess and say that the recently declassified documents are minor and that the reason that it is on the cover is for publicity.

I am going to agree with T.A. on this.
