A hefty fee i expect I'm afraid . The shipping costs are killing me as most items come from overseas. Is the book available in the U.K. , the USA or both?

..available here in the UK at the Aviation Bookshop- they do mail-order

Home Page

I was there last week-end at a signing event with some BoB vets..the Eagle book is piled up alongside the JAPO volume on the same type.... the JAPO book falls down in my view in a number of areas - interpretations of B & W images that are reproduced in colour in the EE book for one ..oh dear..

however I think the overall-red Ta 152 in the Eagle book from Cescotti's story should have been left out - it's a nice tale perhaps - but that is possibly all it was...(certainly no photographic confirmation..)

Neil there is proof the Ta was that colour but yes I agree that Ta which the book was not about at all should of been left out for another special EE treat later on

..Erich,

..proof -other than the 'certificate' - and I'll take it all back ..but really the all-red Ta is the kind of story the vets tend to come up with in their late befuddled years when they realise that a researcher is interested in them....just look at what Cescotti has to say about JG 300 too in that story - accurate it is not

....so why all-red then ..? ..why not just the undersurfaces ..at least there is a precedent for that ...I have a similar problem with the artworks of Dortenmann's Dora...more fantasy..there exist just two very partial photos of his machine when it first arrived in the unit ..but to base three or four pages of profiles on what the guy wrote in his diary - well, makes for a colourful book, granted, but give the artist an inch and he'll take a mile ...guaranteed..more urban legends created in the process...
