Re: Sisters in arms
Are you interested specifically in the British nurses? or are you interested also in other women's involvement in WWII?

Re: Sisters in arms
Definitely everything about WW2 interests but as the book should have stories of medical personnel working at heavy fighting places the book really sounds good to me...so looking for someone to say the stories are good, too, not just sound good.

Re: Sisters in arms
Hey Kai,
I haven't read that one, but I would recommend And If I Perish, by Evelyn Monahan and Rosemary Greenlee, tells of the nurses that landed in North Africa and travelled with the troops thru to Italy. A good read!

Re: Sisters in arms
I haven't yet read any of the books that have been coming out specifically on women's involvement in WWII -- pretty strange, since I'm a rabid women's libber -- I've just had other stuff on my plate, including earning a living -- LOL! -- but I've heard good things about a few of the books that have been published in the US -- I haven't heard any reviews on books from other countries. I guess that I should do some homework, huh?

Re: Sisters in arms
Still no feedback on the book you're asking about, but I got this recommendation from a friend: Wings, Women, and War: Soviet Airwomen in World War II Combat by Reina Pennington.
