Default Trying to locate a copy of 112th (Wessex) Field Regiment

Hi,

I'm trying to track down a copy of '112th (Wessex) Field Regiment' by Goddard, Rankin & Vigers for my father-in-law.

I've tried the usual - google, bookfinder, amazon etc, but to no avail. It would appear only 600-700 copies were printed unfortunately. If you can help, please could you reply on this thread, or send me a PM/email?

Many thanks.

Indeed, Niall, because when you posted it on August 20th, 2007 I was in France "doing" St. Valery-en-Caux, Bruneval, Dieppe, Seine crossings at Vernon etc etc so I did indeed miss it.
B*gger, B*gger, B*gger.
Even more annoying as back in 1990 we used to deliver Royal mail Parcels from the old artillery drill hall up in Prospect Place, Swindon.

Regret it would appear that the last last copy went a few weeks ago but there may be a small number reprinted at some stage in the future......
I feel the moral of the story is when I say there are only a few copies of a book left dive in and get one.....so when I'm saying I have 10 copies left of 'Nine Days at Arnhem' by Robert Sigmond....the story of the CANLOAN officers with the 7th KOSB at Arnhem September 1944, I have 10 copies left.....

Dutch Post Mark 31-III-08.
So yes pretty quick.
Just reading of their OCA meeting at the Goddards Hotel (now closed) & how alot of the originals were GWR Works men (now also closed).
As I said before we used to use the old Royal Artillery Drill Hall in Prospect Place for the Parcel depot for Royal Mail. That has been demolished and it's now flats.
I think the RA badge is still on one of the car park gate posts. I'll have to check.

I've looked up their casualties and there were a few Swindon men there but I expect alot of the originals were posted away before they went into action in Normandy.

Thanks again.
Did BFG get their copy?
