anyone else intrested in this topic ive picked up six books in the past few months some old some new but have found all fascinating from the funny stories you would see on dads army to the serious stuff on exercise with the paras and special forces to rescuing people during the air raids as well as lot more.

Recently picked up books on the Cheshire Home Guard, and 10th battalion Torbay Home Guard, and soon to order the history of the Ulster home guard.

Latest addition History of the 7th Hertfordshire Battalion Home Guard 1940-1944, still trying to get a copy of the stand down which lists all Home guard units at the time.
