IMHO, this is an excellent movie, even though it's quite old (1960s).

It portrays the war how it really was, and it's not infested with that Hollywood crap.

German soldiers, aviators and commanders speak German among themselves, without accent.

It also portrays the chivalry between British and Germans. Very good.

One of the best scenes is when a Polish is shot down and parachutes into an English farm. He is surrounded by English farmers and he replies with his Polish accent: "Good affterrrnoon". He sounded very much like a German!

The Englishman replies: "Good afternoon my ass". The Polish is then arrested!

Yes, this was a good movie for its time, with the exception of the Spanish-built ME-109s with their different front ends. Very noticeable.

I have a book that is the Making of the Battle of Britian (God knows where i got it) and they show the Numbers of the He-111s they had. They have some Phenominal pics too they took from the plexiglass bubble of the He-111. I love the part where they show the Sptifire shoot up the Glass and all you see inside the glass is the cockpit being engulfed in little explosions.
