Has anybody seen this movie? It is a movie version of Sven Hassel's "Wheels of Terror". Well, I ordered to see what it is like. I have read mixed reviews about it but wanted your input if you have seen it. I will let y'all know what I think. What a hoot!

If this is the movie I think it is--I havent seen it since I was a very young lad. Tell me who is in it and about it when you get it. (Hey a rhyme)
I ordered Die Brucke (VHS and Stalingrad (DVD) hopefully they will be in tomorrow, but I will not have time to watch Die Brucke till my next day off.

Well I know Bruce Davidson is in it as well as Oliver Reed and David Carradine. It was released in 1987. From what I can tell, they are using a Russian SU122 as a panzer. It is on the cover of the jacket.

Oh Cripes Pzjgr, I actually saw that, I think its from the early 80's and a really big stinker. I mean really bad. I think they made it to sort of capitalize on Cross Of Irons success.

Well, I got the movie and watched it last night. I have to agree that it was pretty bad. Couldn't tell if they were trying to make it into a satirical comedy such as MASH or if they were trying to keep it along the lines of the book. The uniforms were really poor and they were using Russian SU122s, T-34s and a T-72. The quality reminds me of the sequel to Cross of Iron, Breakthrough.

Hello Andreas--Stevin.
Its really hard for me to tell but I think too he is Luth. Reason its difficult for me is, that most pics I have and have seen of him--he is either wearing his Schiffchen, sporting a beard, or is in movement of somekind or partially obstructed by something and or far away from the camera for good details. Also, im so used to NOT seeing him wear the visored cap and usually I see him with no cap and clean shaven and balding.
You are correct--He IS cool. Also, I am friends with all the surviving men from under his command when he was on U 181. If I hadnt mentioned this yet

no problem and personally--i do too. But no matter--for the moment, I have assumed Telly Savalas's character identity (Big Joe)in the movie: "Kelly's Heroes"
