I just saw this movie for the first time - not exactly a good war movie, but it is kind of funny. It's from 1966 and has James Coburn. A US infantry unit "takes over" a Sicilian town, but basically just kind of parties with the italian soldiers in the town. It's a pretty goofy flick.

I saw it first about 20 yrs ago and then again a few years ago.

The first time I saw it--I thought it was great and very funny. Next time I saw it--I thought it was a total waste of time and couldnt believe that actors like James Coburn were in it. I remember this was a big movie for Dick Shawn--an actor ive never liked. I think it also had Sergio Fantone in it as well. He was better known as Capt Oriani in the fine Frank Sinatra, Trevor Howard, Edward Mulhare and Wolfgang Priess POW movie: "von Ryans Express," which I just watched yesterday on DVD.

I watched the half of this movie on TV and loved it, however in Turkey it is practically impossible to find it.
