Friedrich will become famous soon enough
With Ethan Hawke and Gary Sinise.

Definately one of the weirdest war films I have ever seen. very funny and very dramatic. have you watched it?

Yeah, it's kind of hard to find but they have it at the library I work at. I sometimes can't figure out if I really like it or not. I guess I do like it, but for some reason it's just not one that I would watch over and over. I think the characters and basic idea for the story are pretty good, but I seem to remember getting a little bit bored with it.

I really liked this movie for some reason. It has stuck with me through the years.

I recently rented it--well--I rented it within the last half year.

I guess it is OK but, it's not one that would even be in my top 100 war movies.

It kinda reminds me of Castle Keep--which has Burt Lancaster, Peter Falk, Bruce Dern etc. Thouth I like all the actors--the film was not very desirable to watch.

Just yesterday on TCM--they played A Password Is Courage--with Dirk Bogarde. Now--this is an excellent POW escape film. Dirk Bogarde played real life British Sergeant Major Charles Coward of the Royal Artillery.

This movie if it ever gets to DVD--will be in my growing collection.
