Definately not a movie to own!!

Its one of those 80's "Teen Flicks" that most teens went to go see. That movie can be placed in the same group as the Rambo movies and as most of Ahnold Schwarzeneggers movies.
As to why the Russians and Cubans invaded the USA, I can't rember but it was told to you at the beginning of the movie. Also, supposedly most of the American military was "cought with-its-pants-down" and destroyed.
I think part of the ""easy"" take-over of the USA was due to illegal immigration into the country. Kinda ironic ((or prophetic)) aint it?

Re: What have you been watching?
Just finished a flick called "Massacre in Rome" with Richard Burton. It was in Italian and the dubbing over Burton's voice was weird.

Re: What have you been watching?
Saw the part 2 of De Gaulle´s life.
The daughter with the Down syndrome meant so much to him that he wore a medallion under his shirt with the picture of the girl forever. Even when he was the president, his son told, De Gaulle used to keep the code for launching the nuclear missiles inside the medallion with the picture....

Re: What have you been watching?
Didn't feel like watching anything historical this morning sooo, I watched: The Longest Yard w/ Burt Reynolds. One of the few sports movies I really like. Now, I wish they would make one about the Tour de France races.

The rise and fall of the Third Reich told with actual footage, interviews with Hitler's sister, Paula Wolf, a fellow prisoner with Hitler before he came to power, and others. Unusual and seldom-seen footage, including Eva Braun's home movies; narrated by Westbrook van Voorhis.

Hi TA, when I worked for the prison system, they had nothing like that. In fact, if they did have something like that, all it would be doing is inviting trouble (as if there is not enough trouble to go around). Besides that, there were many who held grudges against each other and there would have been some shenanagans from both sides.

Re: What have you been watching?
Saw Zepplin on Sunday and yes you know who was in it. Yes it was Antony Diffring, I feel sorry for him as he was typed casted into so many German roles. Not bad film for the early 1970's

That is a very good film and if I remember, it also has Michael York in it. I like this one much better than Hindenburg and Hells Angels.

I like James Caan's character: Mississippi, and the double barrel shotgun carried on his hip!
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, was on AMC tonight. Pretty entertaining.

Yeah, James Caan was very good as Mississippi.
One of my favorite quotes in that movie was when the Duke just finished tossing a bucket of cold water on the sleeping Sheriff (Robert Mitchum) who sputtered and said: "What the hell are you doing here?" and the quote I liked was the Duke's reply: "I'm looking at a tin star with a drunk pinned on it."
Starting Monday evening, I will be starting to watch the final 16 episodes of: The Time Tunnel. Damn, that sure was a good show. Too bad it was short-lived.
