Re: What have you been watching?
Yes - I saw ABTF was on and thought 'Oh well, I'll watch ten minutes' and ended up watching for an hour-and-a-half....
I could turn the sound down and dub in all the voices myself by now....some parts of the film are indeed dodgy ( and Elliott Gould, plain awful ) but the good bits ( like Edward Fox as Horrocks ) are very good indeed !

Will be watching the final chapter (part 7) of: The Winds of War, tonight. After that, i'll be working on the twelve parts to: War and Remembrance.

Re: What have you been watching?
Am now watching 'Reign of the Gorgoyles' on Sci-Fi. The SS bring some gorgoyles back to life and they go out on a killing spree. They kill both allies and Germans. Has a lot of CG aircraft. Has the Gorgoyles attacking P-51s, B-17s and Ju-88's. A real dumb movie but interesting use of CG.

Re: What have you been watching?
Right now, I'm watching 'The Sea Wolves' - Gregory Peck, David Niven (both a bit older after that fracas at Navarone!), Trevor Howard, Patrick Macnee - all the good old guys, plus Roger Moore.
Pretty good - claims to be based on a true story.

Re: What have you been watching?
Not a war film, I know, but the other night I watched Quatermass 2. It all started with Lost in Space and Star Trek when I was a kid, you know.....Sad or wot?
Anyway in Quatermass the "zombies" possessed by the aliens were all wearing German M44 blouses and trousers, with insignia removed and blouses buttoned to the neck, and German leather ammo pouches and yokes.

Re: What have you been watching?
Lost in Space was a cool TV show ! I wish they would show it again or at least show the last show. Did they ever get rescued ? Dr Smith and the Robot were cool.

Re: What have you been watching?
Pattonīs last days.
Actually , like Martin earlier said, quite ok for a movie although no battle zone action here. And a very sad end to a hero.

Did you know that in the first episode, Dr. Smith was not a cowardly man? Also, if I remember, I think kthe "real" Dr. Smith was replaced by an imposter. Also, IF memory serves me correct, the reason whay they were "Lost in Space" was because of the ""Dr. Smith"" character in the first episode.

Re: What have you been watching?
" Edges of the Lord " from 2001 incl Willem Dafoe
Edges of the Lord (2001) - IMDb user comments
Unfortunately I can only say it was interesting, nothing more. Points: Lukewarm 6 1/2 out of 10. Good actors.

Re: What have you been watching?
Last night, I watched a few episodes of: The REd Skelton Show and will finish that DvD tonight. Not bad for a $1.00 investment.
Got many laughs from his Clem Kadiddlehopper character.
