I was wondering what are some WWII movies depicting the Italians during the war?
The only movie I can think of..is Captain Corelli's Mandolin starring Nicolas Cage.
Any thoughts?

Arrow

There was one concerning nuns hiding Jewish kids, helped by Italian soldiers. Can't remember the name, but it dates from the late '50s.

hey, "The_Historian", don't you think that sounds somewhat similar to a remake premise of "Les Miserables" starring french actor Jean Plemondon.

What Did You Do In The War Daddy? US GIs take over an underwhelmed Italian town in WW2. comedy directed by Blake Edwards.

The Secret of Santa Vittoria (1969)
Bombolini is a fairly worthless drunk in the small Italian town of Santa Vittoria in the closing days of World War II. He finds that the Germans plan to occupy his town and take their wine (over a million bottles) he works out a plan to hide it.

Documentary from 1944 Tunisian Victory

All of that sounds funny, and something, perhaps, the Three Stooges could've done.

Well Downfall1983, I can think of a couple more movies depicting the Italian faschists during WWII. One is "Life is Beautiful" and the other is "Tea with Mousilini".
