I'm pretty excited about this, band of brothers is hands down my favourite world war two saga and hearing that there was going to be a sequel i got pretty jumpy...

A few trailers have been posted up but they keep getting taken down by Youtube. Good find with this one. If you want to watch it you should do it quick.

Jaeger, I'm with you on that. I would love to see a Brit/Aus/Canadian unit or operation given the Spielberg/Hanks treatment.
There are so many to choose from. Haven't heard much about the Dambusters remake, any news?
Closest I can think of re a Brit op is A Bridge Too Far and, brilliant though it is, it does not have the same FX/SFX/'point of view' genius of SPR and BOB (band of brothers of course, not Battle of Britain!)

mglm....
Just saw your posted clip thanks, unmistakable Spiel/Hanks style - looks great but some of the CGI looks is a bit too 'clean' if you know what I mean. The rest looks good, I look forward to UK release.

Dang, 7 more months to go. Will this be only on HBO? If so, I'll have to get HBO for ten weeks starting in March.

Bumping this because I just found this thread. I can't believe I hadn't heard about this project before! Damn! Anytime Tom Hanks and Spielberg get together, it HAS to be good.

If you are excited about Band of Brothers, check out the real thing

Sun Nov 22 at 10 pm on the Miltary Channel is a new series premier

BATTLE RATS: Iwo Jima It goes back to the island to tell the story through relics and discoveries.

I am a little prejudiced as there are several pictures of my father Sgt Padell who fought on Iwo Ima for the entire battle, he recently passed away
