First thing: how can you expect anything good when you hire the guy that LOST?
Also, cheesy? Nothing cheesier in a war movie than a bunch of M-47s each carrying a placard saying "I'm a Tiger" all slowly advancing bunched up through the Sierra de Guadarrama. Awful!
Oh, the Shermans are depicted by M-24s, fercripessakes!

The movie was merly a fictionalized account based on few facts, about the Battle of the Bulge. Also, you should enjoy it even if only because of the great actors who were in this movie.[/quote]
I agree, it's a fictionalized account. The great actors like any actors are there for the money.

Re: Worst WW2 movies ever made?
Gotta agree with Marne; Pearl Harbor blew viscous chunks. I havent watched "Flyboys" all the way through, but thats a pretty nasty chunk of bile too, from what I can tell.

Also, what could one expect? they used Spanish Army equipment for the movie, as well as the ones who were singing Der Panzerleid-in zat famous scene. ]]]]

Re: Worst WW2 movies ever made?
Pearl Harbor and Flyboys are both pretty dreadful, they're more like a period star wars. For older movies Anzio gets my vote for being so slow and dull.

Re: Worst WW2 movies ever made?
I didn't like this foreign movie, Operation Thunderbolt or something like that. Dubbing was horrible. From Hell to Victory and The Thin Red Line were also bad.

Re: Worst WW2 movies ever made?
^John Woo should just stick to making action/kung fu films.
I wanted to splash iodine into my eyes after seeing this one:
Casablanca Express (1989)
Great concept. P*** poor execution.
I apologize for the bump.

I've not even heard of that turkey, Phantom. It was rated 3.6 in IMDB.

Lucky you. It was in this box set of war films (You know, the kind of set you see in the bargain bin at Wal Mart) my parents gave me for Christmas a few years ago.

I thought of that. I have heard of Kmart type stores in America that are open 24 hrs and it is like a woolworths, kmart in one, pretty much everthing you want is in there, so I have heard.
