Rhineland
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0884173/
Anyone know more of this movie, any trailers etc...
Set in March, 1945 during the battle known as "The last great killing ground in the west" RHINELAND tells the story of a young replacement thrown into an under-strength mine platoon. A burned-out lieutenant and a bitter sergeant are his only guides as he struggles to come to terms with the brutality of war during the final bloody months of World War II.

Never heard of this movie but will watch out for info in it.
The only movie coming out this year that imreally looking forward to is: Comanchie Stallion which has James Arness (aka) Marshal Matt Dillon from Gunsmoke fame) and who came out of retirement just to do this movie for Harry Carey Jr. Also has Robert Carradine as a U.S. Cavalry Trooper. I don't remember who else is in it though.
Kai, Sorry for getting off-subject here ;-)

Re: Rhineland
Thanx Ian!
The trailer seems ok, and the US facing waffen-SS and MG42 so should be alot of action, too.

Re: Rhineland
To me the trailer gives the impression of a b-movie small budget production done by an amateaur dramatic society with a very loose script.

Re: Rhineland
I'm going to reserve my opinion 'til I see it. Saints & Soldiers was a small budget film and it was superb. A lot of the big budget WWII movies from the past few years have been absolute garbage, (Pearl Harbor, Captain Corelli's Mandolin, Hart's War). This also looks like a film that will make it into the mp40 Project with ease.

Re: Rhineland
Yeah,
we´ll see. The clothes looked just fine, even one Sdkfz that looked good. I was more or less worried that they were talking so much....
