Cool Lost Squad movie in the works.

Irish duo join Rogue's 'Lost Squad'

St. Leger, Mather to adapt Kirby's comicbook

By MARC GRASER, DIANE GARRETT

Rogue Pictures' "Lost Squad" has found its writer and director in Stephen St. Leger and James Mather.

The Irish duo, best known for directing commercials as the team of Saint and Mather, will tackle the bigscreen adaptation of Chris Kirby's comicbook, published by Devil's Due.
Project revolves around the adventures of a ragtag unit of Allied soldiers who fight Hitler's occult agents and other supernatural threats during World War II.
Idea is to overstylize the action in the vein of Warner's recent graphic novel-based hit "300."
"It's not going to look like a 'Band of Brothers' or 'Saving Private Ryan,'" said Daniel Alter, who is producing the project with Adrian Askarieh.
Josh Blaylock, of Devil's Due, serves as co-producer.
Askarieh and Alter also have "Hack/Slash" set up at Rogue, based on the Devil's Due comic of the same name. The two recently wrapped the feature "Hitman," based on the Eidos vidgame, that Fox will release in October. "Lost Squad" would become the first feature for Saint and Mather, who have recently generated some heat from the studios after a short film they directed called "Prey Alone" began making the rounds around town and hit the web.

I'm looking forward to this. Lots of great WWII/adventure/pulp films will be coming out soon. Indiana Jones #4 and even a Sgt Rock film is in the works. It's going to be a good 2008!
