Help needed finding a name to a film ?

I watched a film when i was a kid witch was set in europe late in the war about some left over british paras who are hiding in some woods & have to fight German paras to get back to there own lines & in the end most get killed by there friendly fire
It was in colour to
Do you know the name of the film ?
