Re: Australian Spitfire Doco
It's not fair I won't be able to watch this great doco here. the trailer looks terrific. I love when the pilot compares the Spit to a lady. Thanks for sharing Spitfire king and welcome to the site. I hope to see you back on the forum.

Re: Australian Spitfire Doco
Hey guys, the premiere went really well, highest rating show for the day, beat a bunch of BBC doco's and stuff, pretty good for a self made project. I've included a link to a 2min version of the doco, so it can be a mini doc ha! here you go

Re: Australian Spitfire Doco
Sorry Bigfun, it only aired in Australia and NZ, the UK history channel didn't want it and I don't have any contacts with the American history channel (Anyone got any contacts? lol).
The response I've been getting is who cares about Australian Spitfire Pilots and Groundcrew outside of Australia, which is fair enough from a broadcasters point of view, but the Australian story is a valid perspective, and I believe it should be seen, plus most of the enthusiasts I talk to all around the world want to hear the stories too. Am I correct in saying this? I leave it to you guys to comment.

Re: Australian Spitfire Doco
Hi Spitfire King,
As a fellow Aussie, I was very happy to see the documentary and recognised a few familiar faces.
Well done!
Cheers

Re: Australian Spitfire Doco
I saw a promo on the Australian History Channel for Australia Day, I do believe my doco is going to be part of the line up for the day, I don't know when though. Aussies keep your eye out if you missed it last time
