WWII film, battle of Kursk. Russian.
Pretty well made for the limited bidget I am sure. It at least gives you the sense of what it may have been like. I wonder what they used for the tanks, it looks like they just welded a shell together and slapped them on top of a little tankette type thing.

I believe that this was discussed somewhere else on the forum.. It is actually a mini series called "Liberation" and I own it!
Starts from the battle of Kursk and goes on upto Hitler's bunker. It is actually very well made and surprisingly very accurate. Roosevelt and Churchill are also in this series and speak English with Russian subtitles on the bottom. My favorite war series of ALL TIME!
Also some tanks used in the film are actually tanks from the war. As you can see not all of them ofcourse

Re: WWII film, battle of Kursk. Russian.
Well, you just helped me finally find out the name of this "movie" - I saw it (or at least the Kursk portion of the series) in a theater in DC in the late '70s and was duly impressed by its realism and scope. I've tried to find out the title, with no success - til now ! Is it available on DVD ?
