About the Bielski Partisans of Belarus. I suspect this film may stir up some controversy as the Bielskis are viewed as something less than heroes by many in Poland.

It's a great story based on the Peter Duffy book; Peter Duffy : The Bielski Brothers : Book Review
And I hope Hollywood does not take it too far "out into the cartoon zone" (hey that is what Hollywood does!). The Partisan War was the grimmest, bloodiest, corner of the grim and bloody war on the Eastern Front; and if Hollywood can convey some of this to the world-well that is about the best you can ask of Hollywood. Not due out untill Fall.
