Inglorious Bastards
Inglorious Bastards is going to be QUENTIN TARANTINO latest film
Inglorious Bastards or Once Upon a Time in Nazi-Occupied France [1] is an upcoming war film to be written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. On June 21, 2008, Tarantino confirmed that "Inglorious Bastards" is his "next project" and that he had just finished the script and plans to have the film ready for Cannes in 2009. [1]
The title is taken from the 1977 movie Quel maledetto treno blindato. The film was directed by the Italian director Enzo G. Castellari and was known in the United States as Inglorious Bastards. Tarantino's film is not intended to be a remake, but rather a homage to the earlier film, as well as Eastern Condors, The Dirty Dozen, The Great Escape, Where Eagles Dare, Cross of Iron and other war movies.
The movie gossip web site Ain't it Cool News claims the movie is set to be shot as a two-part release, similar to Kill Bill

Re: Inglorious Bastards
Since I don't care for Quentin Tarantino, the idea of him making a World War II movie concerns me. Particularly, since I envision that he will be so enraptured by showing blood and gore and the twisted side of humanity that he will actually miss telling the story of those who were there and turn off a lot of people who might have been open to learning the facts about World War II. IMHO

There will definitely be a "Twist" in the story. In a way curious and then again afraid of what itīs going to be....

Mac,
Haven't you heard the latest game for Tarentino films? "Count the corpses"

Re: Inglorious Bastards
I am not a Tarentino fan but if he does not turn the film into a gratuitous gore-fest, I will watch it.

Hi UK, I only saw part of it once and that was the last 30 minutes or so and that was about 20 years ago. I remember liking it but its been so long since I last saw it-I couldn't say. Anyway, DDDvD.com in it's preview of it says that this movie was very popular in Europe when it originally played. The release is also in two formats-expensive and not as expensive-meaning: one version I think is just the movie, and the other is the movie w/ lots of extras.

Ditto. I share the same feeling when it comes to his films. Though I have to admit I enjoyed his Dusk Till Dawn movie. It started out as a kidnapping and twisted into a monster movie. His other movies ... well...
