Aslo if you can obtain a copy of the nice little booklet by Andrew Frankel and produced by Verlag Plenk KG

located at:
Reichenbachstrasse 8

ISBN # 3-922590-17-9

or punch into the search engine with Berchtesgaden

Visited the place in 2001. Great view! Some Russian visitors at the same time and I thought Mr H definitely had a turn in his grave... wherever that is...

I just checked some prices there and they aint bad at all. Also, I was VERY tempted at putting in an application for a job there. It's darn tempting.

It is absolutely beautiful up there...You could never guess it was Mr Bormann who started the whole thing for Hitler´s 50th birthday!!

And sorta pity Hitler had fear for high places, he visited the place some 5-6 times , I think.

I agree--it is absolutely beautiful there and I hope to see it sometime.

I have a nice Heinrich Hoffmann press foto of Hitler there and outside the doorways with the brick archways. He is standing next to Hauptmann Helmut Wick whom Hitler had just awarded the Oak Leaves to. Great photo. The Hitler avatar Fried uses or used to use--is made from that photo.
