an old submarine is to be cut in half and placed either side of the M275 into portsmouth .
has anyone else heard this rumour ???????

Sounds kinda stupid, and a waste of a good relic. I hope they don't..if they are in fact planning to.

theres 2 sitting in the harbour and have done for many years now and im sure sooner or later they will be towed away and chopped up and nothing will be left ........maybe this is a way at least one is sort of saved and not destroyed altogether so nothing remains ?????
if something like this was done with say guy gibsons lancaster it would still be here instead of scrapped altogether , and having a sub on show cut down the middle must be better than nothing to show at all.......... unless someone on here could buy and preserve them ???????

but its only hearsay what i have heard from working in the dockyard so theyll probably be towed away and chopped up .............
