Found this 5 page gallery of D-day photographs on a French site.

Unusually there are images of many injured/dead troops. Pictures that the photographer has used to try and 'show' the horrors.

Any other good photo links used by others?

Is it just me, or are Black and White photos just so more dramatic than colour prints?

It's a great link - and I still highly recommend Capa's memoir, 'Slightly Out Of Focus' which has been reprinted in paperback.

I spent some time at Pegasus Bridge under shell Fire. I took cover behind that glider on the far bank at one time.

Not that it helps but, I have four US Army press photos that were taken in the Normandy area. Three of the photos are of captured German soldiers and one of captured German rifles.

I think I made and gave Otto a copy of these pics sometime ago. Now if you could only get Otto to post them???????
