Daniel Jones is an unknown quantity at this point
I was curious if they had a part, and if so what was it? Also are there any books on the Black Watch in the Second World War?

Daniel, the Black watch were in all major campaigns of ww2 in all theatres I believe, the British regimental system of the time usually had 2 battalions of regs to that number followed by many other battalion numbers of reserve, Territorials and reinforcement man supply battalions. The Black watch had numerous battalions available in ww2, probably best off trying to find their museum site on the net, they are bound to have one.

There is a regimental history for WW2 by Bernard Ferguson 'The Black Watch and the King's Enemies' (Collins 1950)

Getting scarce to find now, of course.
