Re: Photos of captured vehicles
Is anyone aware of any German units posted from the eastern front to the western front that brought any captured soviet vehicles with them?
I'm intrigued by the possibility of a cromwell/churchill/shermen, etc vs t34 battle.
Thanks

This excellent site might help;
Beutepanzers.
There are some shots of T34 & KV2 tentatively identified as part of a German force destined for Malta and some speculation on whether a T34 can be seen in France on one image. At the very least it's good starting reference for what units used which vehicles... and a fascinating website.
cheers,
Adam.

Re: Photos of captured vehicles
Here's one of a Churchill Mark III recovered by the Germans after falling into a hole on Dieppe's promenade.
If memory serves correctly, her name is "Betty".
Cheers,
Gerry
