Who can name the 3 most recognizable Generals of WWII?
What they had in common?
(more than one answer)

I would have to say Rommel, Ike and Patton due to Rommel's genius in tactics...just a guess.

Rommel, Monty and Patton, indeed.
The first, I must add, the most overrated general of the war…

But still one of the most recognisable...
What they have in common? All fought in North Africa?

All three where born within 6 days and 6 years from one another,
All three where overated by their own coutries fro propaganda reasons.
Patton Nov 11, 1885
Montgomery Nov 17, 1887
Rommel Nov 15, 1891
All three where some how involved with North Afrika and DDAy and all three veterans of WWI
Intersting thing about Rommel his wife's Birthday was 6th June.
Hence his absence from the battle field..

Wow, interesting factoids Fallschirmartz! I knew about Rommel's wife's B-Day, but I can't believe I have never heard of the connection between the three generals before! It just goes to show there is *always* something new to learn about WWII.
