Not much but according to von Luck - he did meet with Rommel in secret in '43 - the subject of the meeting was unknown. does anyone have any other info regarding Guderian and meetings with any of the conspirators? What's your opinion?

In March 1943, Dr. GÖRDELER (member of the opposition) visited GUDERIAN and asked him to join the conspirators. He refused to do so.

After the failed coup (July 20, 1944), he became a member of the s.c. "Ehrenhof des Heeres" (Army Court of Honour), a kind of hearing committee set up by HITLER to expel hundreds of officers suspected of being opposed to the Nazis. The dishonorable discharges of those Army officers was neccessary to hand them over to FREISLERs infamous “Volksgerichtshof” (“People’s Court”). In this role it is known that GUDERIAN disregarded for example SPEIDELs testimony exculpating ROMMEL. Consequently ROMMEL, who had always been a rival of GUDERIAN, was accused of being a member of the plot, leading to ROMMELs forced suicide in October 1944.

Certainly this dark chapters of sending Army officers to the Nazi henchmen and his personal agenda to get rid of ROMMEL are belittled or left out in his memoirs.

Cheers,
