Heck, Hessler, my latter photo was half decent, but you had to spoil the effect by putting Mario beside
Anyway, the photo was decent because it was heavily retouched, as Stalin's skin was rather heavily pockmarked. This was characteristic of Soviet portraiture, some people's defects being erased (most notably Gorbachev's extensive birthmark), or in other instances people being erased altogether
