I find this not in the least bit suprising. Overlooked? Yes. But the women had to cover it up.

I wouldnt go as to say most..... But there definately was a large Ukrainian population that greated the Germans as liberaters due to their hatred for Stalin.

For this so called Patriatism, Stalin later rewarded many and didnt exactly give them a medal.
