Music of WWII
Who here agrees that the WWII era of music was the best? There's nothing I love more then flying a P-51 on MFS9 while listening to the Andrews Sisters or Glenn Miller. Big Band and Swing music was really good during it's time.

Re: Music of WWII
I agree, i'm a big fan of swing and jazz. You might want to also check Artie Shaw and Duke Ellington.

Re: Music of WWII
What is the theme music for "The Eagle has Landed"? In my copy of the DVD, they left out the part where the fallshirmjager plays it on the church organ. Thanks.

Listen here:
Amazon Listing.
Looks like it's a purpose-written theme for the film by Lalo Schifrin.
Cheers,
Adam.

Re: Music of WWII
What "Eagle has Landed" theme? Can you whistle it to see if we can recognize it?

Re: Music of WWII
I do agree Glenn Miller was great. Wonder what all great tunes he could have composed later on.
