Thanks for posting the link, Liberator. Indded, a remarkable man who remained active throughout his 94 years. An extraordinary figure in aviation history who will be forever associated with the Spitfire.

His memoir 'Sigh For A Merlin - Testing The Spitfire' is widely acclaimed as a classic aviation book.
