So my assignment for my Germany 1919 - 1939 class has actually turned pretty interesting. For the 15 page research paper, i get to choose my topic as long as it covers both Wiemar Germany and Nazi Germany and has some sort of continuities in it. So, me being me, (and the class pretty much lacking any sort of in-depth coverage on the topic) i've chosen to do something involving the military. My original idea had a few flaws and was too general...i was going to look at how German Militarized Units effected politics (the Army/Navy starting the revolution that ousted the Kaiser, the SA and SS eliminating political enemies etc, secret rearmament etc) but have now narrowed it down into a much more specific topic.

I am going to focus on the SA and the SS, their creation, their projected roles, use of violence, influence on politics and society, intimidation, secret-training vs. versailles treaty, and the death of the SA.

My one main issue however will be finding 5 Primary Resources on the subject, as the 5 secondary resources are not a problem.
