I'm sure that's not the entire collection, I wonder if they're not mentioning the loads of vehicles they have scattered around the world to protect them from the grim conditions of Aberdeen. Embarassed at the state they allowed them to get into perhaps?
Quite a nice story of their KT
here.
And some decent photos of the collection
here.
Keep us informed on how it looks FMK, the collection is one of the most significant but neglected in the world, it seems there's a real effort going on to get stuff under cover (there are ww1 tanks there that have stood outside for c.80 years) and some vehicles that looked lost seem to have been recently restored (beautiful job on their standard Pz.IV, hopefully the hydrostatic one will get some protection too). I wonder if their Tiger is back home from the UK yet. And the last I saw of the
Elefant it was in a terrible state, but rumour says it's being worked on now?
Sorry, I'm rambling... again. Aberdeen worries me, though the recent news seems improved.
Welcome to FMK & Zippo.
Cheers,
Adam.
