Default Some German concrete near Dunkirk.

I know this is an Observation Tower, it's near Oye Plage near Dunkerque.
Anyone have anymore info?

Cheers, I've been Googling around the Atlantic wall websites.
We saw the bird-hide bunker and would have stopped but had to get the ferry.
We did have a picnic on this one a few minutes before though.

Just been going through that website.

We also visited the Bruneval raid location and the bunkers at Cap d'Antifer. Kids had great fun playing around those.
No photos though.

Have this one at Etretat.

EDIT just read on here,
Third Reich BunkerArt

That the tower at Oye Plage is that shape as it was camoflaged to look like a church tower.

Thumbs up Re: Some German concrete near Dunkirk.

Interesting relics, WW - many thanks for posting the pics. I understand that quite a lot of the Atlantic Wall has disappeared in recent years.

A nice contrast with the 'occupying troops' in your photos.....

You have a long-suffering wife, Owen. I could not pay mine to go look at the stuff you visit regularly.
