Re: Helping Enemy
This is a photo from a German Fieldhospital (Feldlazarett) at 'Grogneau' in 'Thynes'. German Medic tending the French Pilot. Which was shot down by an attack on the bridges over the 'Maas'.
As Image and Attachment.
Maybe something for your collection too Skipper67?

Re: Helping Enemy
It is certainly interesting. Cheers for that. Probably shot down during the "May Days" in 1940 . Do you have the exact date?

You're right. The exact date should be between 14 and 16 May.

Re: Helping Enemy
Camera has some damn trouble with taking pictures..
Anyway,
As I said helping the enemy.. This could be on any way, that's why I share this photo with you.
This officer was made POW and coöperated to show everything on the map. An officer doesn't have to point anything on the map, but he coöperated so a way of helping.

Re: Helping Enemy
This thread reminds me of one of Don Stiver's excellent paintings. Don Stiver's did a painting that showed both German and American Medics helping each other out with wounded from both sides, during; the Battle of the Bulge. Sorry I don't have a link to his painting but, it can be found on his web site and or on David Pentland's website.
Excellent photos BTW.
